Dr. Kristie Garcia is an optometric physician. She is Florida Board certified in therapeutic eye care. She provides comprehensive and routine eye care for children and adults including prescribing glasses, pre and post operative care for cataract surgery. Dr. Garcia is experienced in treating and evaluating eye conditions including, but not limited to cataract evaluation, dry eye and blepharitis. In her scope of practice, Dr. Garcia strives to incorporate the latest optometric developments and advancements.
Dr. Garcia graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She then graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry with a Doctorate in Optometry as well as a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science. While at Nova, Dr. Garcia was on the Dean’s list and participated in Vision Screenings for Opening Eyes for Special Olympics. Dr. Garcia is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and Broward County Optometric Association.
Dr. Garcia, a native Floridian decided to become an optometrist to help patients the way she was helped as a child and was given glasses that made a significant difference in her life. She had previously been a patient at Eye Surgery Associates as a child and was very happy to join the practice as a physician.
Dr. Garcia currently accepts new patients at all three Eye Surgery Associates locations in Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, and Weston. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
